Shiraz 2023

Our second vintage from the Racecourse Lane Vineyard in the rolling hills of Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. Michael and Linda’s meticulous work was rewarded with beautifully balanced Shiraz grapes crafted at Oakvale Winery. The 2023 Shiraz is a classic Hunter Shiraz, deep red with rich blackberry and plum flavours, subtle spice and oak. More full-bodied than previous years, it pairs perfectly with roasts, lamb, pasta, or enjoyed on its own.

Reserve Shiraz 2024

Racecourse Lane Wines proudly presents its first Reserve Shiraz. Crafted from our grapes in Pokolbin, the early rains and fine harvest weather have produced a rich crop with excellent sugar levels and  tannins. Made in partnership with winemaker Adrian at Calais Wines, matured in oak for eighteen months before further ageing, this wine reveals blackberry, plum flavours with hints of spice, tannins and oak, perfect for steaks, a rack of lamb, pasta, or enjoyed on its own.

Sangiovese Red 2024

The iconic Sangiovese grape (derived from the Latin Sanguis Jovis, meaning Blood of Jupiter) is Italy’s most widely planted variety and the foundation of many of Tuscany’s great wines. Our first Sangiovese, grown exclusively at Racecourse Lane Vineyard in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, was handpicked and crafted by Adrian at Calais Wines into a beautifully balanced wine with vibrant cherry and raspberry flavours, a touch of oak, and a perfect match for tomato based pasta dishes.

Sangiovese Rosé 2025

Sangiovese grapes originate from Italy and are famous for wines such as Chianti. The Sangiovese grapes to create our 2025 Rosé have been grown at Racecourse Lane vineyard and other Hunter Valley vineyards. Working with Hunter winemaker Adrian Sheridan, we have created a Rosé that has all the characteristics of the Sangiovese grape. Crisp and dry on the palate with cherry flavours and a hint of strawberry; perfect with pasta, a seafood dinner or maybe a day at the races.

Chardonnay 2025

Our premier Chardonnay marks an exciting new chapter for Racecourse Lane Wines, crafted from our grapes and made at Oakvale Winery, where James and his team use natural fermentation and minimal intervention to let the vineyard shine. Bursting with fresh lemon and peach flavours and softened by French oak ageing, this rich yet elegant Chardonnay, aptly named Fine Cottan, is the real deal and destined not to stay long in the cellar.

Sangiovese Sparkling Rosé 2022

Our Cottan Candy Sangiovese Sparkling Rosé has been created from grapes grown on our Racecourse Lane Vineyard in Pokolbin. The early harvest grapes are lightly pressed with the skin and must, to produce that beautiful Rosé finish. With hints of strawberries, melon and berries our Sparkling Rosé is fresh and well balanced. Perfect for evening cocktails, a summer picnic or a special occasion.
